1 Corinthians 3:17

            “Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty”. The word “liberty” lets us know we are citizens of heaven, not slaves of the world. We are told in Galatians 5:1 to “Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage”. Living our lives to the flesh isn’t freedom, it’s bondage, because of that Paul also tells us, “Only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh” (Galatians 5:13), and “All things are lawful for me, but not all things are helpful; all things are lawful for me, but not all things edify” (1 Corinthians 10:23). Knowing the Holy Spirit helps us put off the man of flesh by teaching us what is helpful and what edifies so our freedom is evident to others. When we are where the Lord is, we are in His Kingdom. When we are where the Spirit is, we are really free. Are you in the Spirit?
