John 14:16

            ^“And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper”. Jesus will pray, we will receive. That is so awesome, for we know we don’t deserve anything, but He loves us so much He just keeps on blessing us. In this case, we receive another Helper. Jesus was the first Helper sent to us, and when He ascended into heaven, He sent us the Holy Spirit to take His place. The word another doesn’t mean different, but another of the same kind, because He is the Spirit of the Lord. The work of the Helper is to help us become like our Father, but we will never be like our Father unless we spend time with the Father. This is only done through the Holy Spirit revealing Him to us in the Word of God. Are you spending time with the Father in the Word?
