John 16:13

            “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.” The word “however” here is referring to Jesus’ last statement of having more to say to us. Although, if you don’t read the Word daily, you won’t get any of it. It’s all here, and when you received Jesus, the Holy Spirit came into you and is the Spirit of Truth. Jesus said, “For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak” (John 12:49), Spirit of Truth also speaks only what He hears. Every day Before you read the Word, you should pray and ask Him to show you something, or speak something to you while you are reading. You hear and see things every day in the world that are not truth and have nothing to do with truth, which tells you that it’s not from God. Be in the Word, be in prayer, and be attentive, the Spirit of Truth will guide you into ALL truth.
