John 18:10

            “Then Simon Peter, having a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear”. There are many out there who do the same thing Peter did, but their sword is the Word of God, not the weapon of war Peter had. Ephesians 6:17 tells us “the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God”, and the way we use it can leave a life-changing impression, Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.” And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.” Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them” (Acts 2:38-41), or a lasting scar, “One of the servants of the high priest, a relative of him whose ear Peter cut off said, “Did I not see you in the garden with Him?” ” (John 18:26). Read the Word, study the Word, live the Word, then when you speak the Word the change you make in someone’s life will be for the Kingdom of God.
