Genesis 1:27

“So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”  God is Spirit, and that is the image in which He created us. Man was made perfect and sinless, a spirit wrapped in flesh. We are told to “draw near to God and He will draw near to you” (James 4:8a). How? By abiding in the Word and through prayer. We are told in the Word, “to Fear the Lord and depart from evil” (Proverbs 3:7), And by the fear of the Lord one departs from evil (Proverbs 16:6), A wise man fears and departs from evil (Psalm 37:27), Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity (2 Timothy 2:19). “And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires” (Galatians 5:24). ^“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit” and, “if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. (Romans 8:1,13). First, we need to be in Christ Jesus, then live according to the Spirit, putting to death the deeds of the flesh. We can live as spiritual beings, in His image, in fellowship with Him, the way He created us to be, and I guarantee you, it will draw others to Christ.
