Matthew 4:19

       “He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” There are so many churches out there, and I know the way to make some of them shut down, using this verse. Jesus didn’t say, follow me and I’ll make you showmen. That will take care of the churches that are putting on worldly shows to reach the world. He also didn’t say, follow me, and I’ll make you salesmen. That will make some more shut down who hire elegant speakers to make money for their church. Jesus said, “follow me, and I will make you fishers of men”, which leaves the churches that PREACH the WORD! Going to a God-fearing, Christ-centered, Bible-believing Church changes us into fishers of men. Being in the Word, growing in the Word, and living the Word is what truth is, and that’s what people are looking for, truth! Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and that’s what people should see in us, Amen?
