James 2:19

            “You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!” It is my belief that we have wandered so far away from truly believing in God that we don’t even tremble. Just think of how Holy He is and who you are. Is there something the demons know that we don’t, that their believing in God makes them tremble? We get to church, serve in ministry, but are we just going through the motions? According to Jesus, “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’(Matthew 7:21-23). To put it in simple terms, it is those who do the Will of the Father, not those who do their will for the Father. You believe that there is one God. You do well, but when was the last time it made you tremble?
