Genesis 3:8-9

“And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?”’ It is evident that Adam and his wife knew the Lord God, and spent time with Him every day. The first thought would be, is it evident in your life that you know the Lord God and spend time with Him every day? The next thing would be, when you’re not spending time with Him, do you hear Him calling you and asking you “where are you”? Just as Adam and Eve were naked before God, so are you. He knows exactly where you are doing and what you will do. Before you do something you shouldn’t be doing, do you hear God asking you where you are? He is giving you a warning to what you about to do, and as the Proverb tells us, “A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself, But the simple pass on and are punished” (Proverbs 22:3). Confess your sin, hide yourself from evil, and spend time with the Lord God Almighty!
