Ephesians 5:6

“Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.” I believe that we have had the Gospel message so watered down that if the rapture happened on Sunday when the Churches are full, how many people would still be sitting there wondering what happened. This isn’t anything new; we read in Jeremiah 23:17b, “And to everyone who walks according to the dictates of his own heart, they say, ‘No evil shall come upon you.’” Here it is thousands of years later, and people are still walking according to the dictates of their own hearts and say, they love God and He loves them. Unfortunately, they actually believe it and say they are going to heaven. We don’t hear about the wrath of God that will come upon the sons of disobedience or about hell and the horror it will bring upon the unbelieving. The book of Revelation talks about how the wrath of God will be poured out upon the wicked (Revelation 15:1; 15:7; 16:1), but nobody thinks they are wicked. Anybody whose name is not found in the Lamb’s Book of Life is wicked, no matter how good they think they have been, and they need to lovingly know it. Paul wasn’t afraid to tell the first-century church, and we shouldn’t be afraid to tell them now. They need to know the truth that receiving Jesus as Lord and Savior brings conviction and transformation, and HE is the ONLY way to heaven. The wrath of God will be poured out on all those who don’t.
