Isaiah 6:1

“In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple.” The year King Uzziah died was 740 B.C. And Isaiah saw the Lord sitting on the throne. That was a long time ago, and it seems that the longer time goes on, the more complacent the churches of today are getting. There are some verses that would describe today’s Christianity. Doctrine of Balaam, sexual immorality is ok (Revelation 2:14), Doctrine of the Nicolaitans, mix worldly living with Christianity (Revelation 2:15), Lukewarm, not hot for God nor living cold toward Him (Revelation 3:16); to name a few. It seems God is not on the throne, or high and lifted up in our churches or our lives today. God never said we aren’t holy so He will come down to our level, He said, “but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct” (1 Peter 1:15). Do you see Him in your life sitting on the throne, high and lifted up?
