\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cAnd I heard another voice from heaven saying, ‘Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.\u201d This is a warning for those who are left behind after the rapture of the church. But we can take it to heart and begin now before it\u2019s too late for us. Babylon is a picture of greed and materialism, just like the world today. If we don\u2019t return to God with our whole heart, we may share in the sins of the world and receive the punishment with it. Jesus tells us, \u201cNo one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon\u201d (Matthew 6:24). Think of the Rapture of the Church for us, as us coming out of this world’s greed and materialism and following hard after God! It\u2019s time to stop being \u201cmake believers\u201d and start being \u201ctrue believers\u201d. In the words of Joshua, \u201cchoose for yourselves this day whom you will serve\u2026But as for me and my house, we will serve the\u00a0Lord\u201d (Joshua 24:15).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
