{"id":697,"date":"2025-12-17T02:00:59","date_gmt":"2025-12-17T02:00:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gettingcloserwithgod.com\/?p=697"},"modified":"2025-12-17T02:00:59","modified_gmt":"2025-12-17T02:00:59","slug":"december17-25","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gettingcloserwithgod.com\/index.php\/2025\/12\/17\/december17-25\/","title":{"rendered":"December17-25"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>1 Peter 1:8b-9<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cThough now you do not see\u00a0<em>Him,<\/em> yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,\u00a0receiving the end of your faith\u2014the salvation of\u00a0<em>your<\/em> souls.\u201d Just because we don\u2019t see Jesus doesn\u2019t mean He doesn\u2019t exist or that we can\u2019t have a relationship with Him. In fact, our relationship with Him comes from our believing (total commitment), and brings us something now that non-believers and make-believers don\u2019t have, a \u201cjoy inexpressible\u201d. Yes, there is a joy you can have that there are no words for, and the only way you can describe to another person, saved or not, is \u201cit\u2019s Jesus, the fountain of life bubbling up in me\u201d! Not only will you have that joy inexpressible, but you will be full of glory that others notice and cannot dismiss it and it doesn\u2019t wash away because you have walked in faith. You will one day stand with Jesus and receive the reward for keeping the faith, which is the salvation of your soul.
