\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cI have come that they may have life, and that they may have\u00a0it<\/em> more abundantly.\u201d It\u2019s no secret that Jesus came to give us eternal life. It doesn\u2019t have to start in Heaven, we can enjoy it here, but it\u2019s not easy. We saw in a previous Devotion (November 20\/24), that we live on a battlefield, not a playing field. Anytime you want to get farther or deeper in your Spiritual walk, the enemy will turn up the heat. One of the things Satan doesn\u2019t want you to do is stop carrying your excess baggage, and \u201cevery weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares\u00a0us\u201d (Hebrews 12:1). You have to understand that when Jesus died and rose again, HE<\/strong> set you free<\/strong>. Free from sin, free from Satan\u2019s authority over you, free from death. We are told, \u201cWhoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God\u201d (1 John 3:9). Satan doesn\u2019t want you to get to that point. Now you know the truth, \u201cand the truth shall make you free\u201d (John 8:32b).
