Many have quoted this, or misquoted it, saying, “The Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world”. In the world, every man, whoever was or ever will be, had their sins laid on Him on the Cross. Sin is singular and I will boil it down to the one sin that sums them all up, “Disobedience”. Whether we don’t do what God tells us to do or do what He tells us not to, it is disobedience and therefore, sin. God is more interested in our obedience than in doing things “for Him”. You will be forgiven of everything you’ve done or will do except for the “unpardonable sin”. “But he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation” (Mark 3:29). Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is not receiving Jesus as LORD and Savior, and it is the last act of disobedience anyone will commit before they pass away.
