2 Corinthians 9:8<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd God\u00a0is<\/em> able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all\u00a0things,<\/em> may have an abundance for every good work.\u201d Before we begin with this verse, I would like to quote verse 7, \u201clet<\/em> each one\u00a0give<\/em> as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. In keeping things in context, we can keep ourselves safe from using today\u2019s verse for greedy gain. Some use this verse to get people to give telling them they will prosper. As we look at today\u2019s verse let\u2019s keep in mind what Jesus said in Matthew 6:24, \u201cNo one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.\u201d Now, with that all in mind let\u2019s dig into today\u2019s verse. First is \u201cAnd God is able. He is able to make something from nothing. He is able to make more out of little. You don\u2019t have to be rich to help others and be blessed. Just as God is able to make all grace abound toward you, He is able to give you what you need for every good work. When you bless others, you get blessed. The more you bless others the more God blesses you to continue to bless others. If you do it so God will bless you so you can use it on yourself, you\u2019ll lose the blessing. If you do it grudgingly your blessing won\u2019t be worth anything. God gives abundance for \u201cevery good work\u201d. When you do the good work for His Glory, you get the blessing of abundance for that work which you are doing.
