Ephesians 6:14b<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u201chaving put on the breastplate of righteousness\u201d. The breastplate in this case is not just a covering from the neck down to the waist, nor is it the type of armor worn by a Police Officer that wraps around the body to protect the front and back. Remember, we are not fighting against flesh and blood so our armor needs to be spiritual. This part of the armor is our submission to God. We are to have a totally submitted life to God, not just be convicted. We are warned in Proverbs 25:26, \u201cA righteous\u00a0man<\/em> who falters before the wicked Is like<\/em> a murky spring and a polluted well\u201d, which would be a Christian who is convicted, but not submitted. We are to be holy as our Father in Heaven is Holy. The word holy means to be separated from<\/em><\/strong> sin<\/em>, as our Father in heaven is Holy. In Ephesians 4:24 we are taught \u201cthat you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness\u201d. Just as we gird our waist with truth (our thoughts, words, and actions), our breastplate of righteousness is the way we live our lives in private, public, in church, or around other Christians.
