Psalm 119:59-60<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u201cI thought about my ways, And turned my feet to Your testimonies.\u00a0I made haste, and did not delay To keep Your commandments.\u201d In Psalm 66:18 we are told,\u00a0\u201cIf I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear.\u201d Do you understand what it means to regard iniquity in your heart? Regarding iniquity in your heart is living with known sin, and enjoying it so much that you will push God out of your way to do it, and you don\u2019t repent. Do you think about your ways with the understanding of what you do and go to the Word of God to see what He says about your sin and how to turn away from it? The Word of God brings conviction, and then correction. When you find the answer, make haste and do not delay to be a doer of the Word. We are further told that \u201cHe who covers his sins will not prosper,\u00a0But whoever confesses and forsakes\u00a0them will have mercy\u201d (Proverbs 28:13) (Emphasis mine). If you really are serious about being forgiven and getting closer to God, pray as the Psalmist did, \u201cI acknowledged my sin to You,\u00a0And my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, \u201cI will confess my transgressions to the\u00a0Lord,\u201d And You forgave the iniquity of my sin\u201d (Psalm 32:5).
