\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cThis is what the\u00a0Lord spoke, saying: \u2018By those who come near Me\u00a0I must be regarded as holy\u201d. Aaron\u2019s sons, Nadab and Abihu, were just consecrated as priests for the service of the Lord before Israel. But they didn\u2019t take their position seriously and \u201ceach took his censer and put fire in it, put incense on it, and offered profane fire before the\u00a0Lord, which He had not commanded them.\u00a0So fire went out from the\u00a0Lord and devoured them, and they died before the\u00a0Lord\u201d (Leviticus 10:1-2). Moses was not allowed to enter the promised land because he didn\u2019t present God holy in the eyes of the Israelites (Numbers 20:12). Jesus said to pray in this manner, \u201cOur Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name\u201d (Matthew 6:9). Do you think if we Christians start taking our positions as God’s Children seriously, regarding God as holy, presenting Him to others as holy, and praying to Him as a holy God, that just maybe we can help others draw closer to Him because we have drawn closer to Him?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
