Matthew 18:21

Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” Have you been having trouble with a brother (sister) in Christ sinning against you, whether on purpose or not, and now you find yourself holding a grudge against that person? Remember the time of WWJD (What Would Jesus Do)? Do you look through scripture for the answer to the issue you’re having and then act upon it? In response to Peter’s question, Jesus told him, up to seventy times seven, which literally means, don’t count. If your brother goes to God and asks forgiveness, God forgives him, how then can you withhold it? “If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?” Always remember that you were a sinner against God who forgives you and doesn’t remember or keep count.  I have a good friend, and we got into a disagreement. We parted ways, and I read this passage of scripture and called him up and told him that our friendship meant more to me than what we were upset with each other about. Today, we keep in touch and get together for lunch to catch up on what’s going on in our lives. Trust me when I say, “your life will be more fulfilling and rewarding when you forgive and remain friends, than living with a stressed heart.
