Isaiah 43:25
“I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; And I will not remember your sins”. What a humbling verse. It reminds us that God didn’t save us for our sake, nor did He make a way for us to sin and be excused. God saved us for His sake because of His great love for us. The word “blots out” means to “rub away, or erase”, and the word “transgressions” is the word for “rebellion”. If you are not in Jesus, or not in the Word, you’re in rebellion. You can’t have Jesus without the Word, nor the Word without Jesus; they are inseparable. There are a few things to always remember about Jesus and what He said. First, “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven (Matthew 7:21), Second, “I am the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6a) and finally, “Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth” (John 17:17). Not everyone that goes to church goes to heaven. Jesus is truth, and the Word is truth, and again, they are inseparable and go along with doing the will of the Father. God not only erases our sin and rebellion, He will not remember them either. You and the Devil may remember them, but God doesn’t. Aren’t you glad that He doesn’t remember them?
