1 Peter 1:7-8a

       “that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen (known) you love.” Remember, some will go through various trials for discipline, and it is to prove the genuineness of your faith. While some go through these trials, they shrink away and not grow in their faith. In order for gold to be pure, it also goes through the fire to burn off the dross, or for us to be pure, the junk. “Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you;
but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy” (1 Peter 4:12-13). Your faith, which is precious in the sight of God, once proven, will be found to praise, honor, and glorify Christ whom you have not seen, here and now, but will also bring you praise, honor, and glory from Him when He is revealed (Romans 2:6-7). Has your faith been put through the fire, tested, and proven genuine?
