Daniel 6:5
“Then these men said, “We shall not find any charge against this Daniel unless we find it against him concerning the law of his God.” Have you ever been called a hypocrite? I have, and it hurt deeply, deep enough to stop me from doing it again. There were some men equal to Daniel but they found out that King Darius was going to put him over the whole land. In verse 4 we read “So the governors and satraps sought to find some charge against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find no charge or fault, because he was faithful; nor was there any error or fault found in him.” Daniel was a man of impeccable integrity, and they couldn’t find anything concerning his work in the kingdom, so they decided to find it in his life as a Godly man. Have you read the headlines lately here in the US, I haven’t found one yet telling us someone in our political realm that has that kind of integrity. We’ve even seen Pastors fall because of their lack of integrity. Daniel heeded the Word of God, and “have listened to the voice of the Lord your God, to keep all His commandments which I command you today, to do what is right in the eyes of the Lord your God” (Deuteronomy 13:18). Daniel didn’t have to worry about doing what was right in the eyes of man. Are you in the Word of God enough that others see your integrity in your work and in your walk?
