Exodus 13:17a

       “Then it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near”. As Christians, we have a special GPS, God’s Protective System. The rest of the verse says, “for God said, ‘Lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see war, and return to Egypt.’” He not only points the way, He also protects us on the journey. When the going gets tough, the weak turn around and go back, which is what God didn’t want them, or us, to do. God’s ways are higher than ours, and so are His plans for us. His first plan for us is to teach us to trust Him. Next would be to follow Him and be obedient, lastly to give Him your whole heart. Just as the people followed God and learned to trust Him, when the enemy attacked, they waited on God, and the enemy was defeated. You too can have victory over every war, trial, or tribulation that comes your way, because you learn to keep your focus on God as you spend time in HIS HOLY WORD daily. If you feed your body 2 or 3 times a day plus snacks, why wouldn’t you feed your Spirit with the Word and snack with meditation?
