Jude 1:1b

“To those who are called, sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ”. Sometimes the Faith walk can make us question our salvation, which is just what Satan wants us to do. He is not trying to get you to sin or keep you in sin, He’s trying to get you to doubt God’s Word and quit being a Christian. Jude gives us great encouragement here in his opening statement so we not only recognize false teachers and false teachings but we can be assured of our place in the family of God. “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day” (John 6:44). We have been called, not by man, but by God Himself. We are also purified by God, making us holy. Lastly, we are “preserved in Jesus Christ” which is like being walled in with no chance of enemy intrusion. Jesus put it this way, And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand (John 10:28-29). Simply put, God found us, purified us, and secured us for eternity. This is a promise of God you can claim and rest assured in as you walk out your faith as a sojourner in this land.
