Luke 2:14

            “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” It may be a simple phrase, but it’s a powerful one. Man’s Chief duty is to give God Glory and lift him Higher than all else. God is Sovereign, the Supreme being, Creator, and Sustainer of the Universe, and mankind. His Love for us is so powerful that He went to great lengths to bring us back into that perfect relationship of God and man as it was in the Garden of Eden. He recreated Himself into a human being through the virgin birth becoming Son of God and Son of Man, filled with the Holy Spirit at His baptism. He served, healed, took our sins upon Himself, and nailed them to the Cross with His Body. When He rose from the grave, peace became internal and eternal to those who received Him as LORD and Savior. ^“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27). He gives a peace the world doesn’t understand. He gives this peace to those who follow Him with a whole heart. It’s knowing we have been brought back into a perfect relationship with God, now that’s true peace and goodwill toward men!
