I Timothy 4:8
“For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.” In a day and age when fitness centers are popping up all over and, people are going to them either out of guilt or believing that one can prolong their life. The Bible teaches us that “it is appointed for men to die once, but after this, the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27). Bodily exercise may build some muscles and tone you up, but on the day appointed for you, you will still be taken out of your body and wait for the Judgement. , and bodily exercise is not a bad thing, Exercising Godliness, on the other hand, is good for both now and in the life to come. In this Life it will give you joy unspeakable, peace that passes understanding, godly contentment, love, and fellowship with God and man. In the life to come it will give you all of that plus, eternity with our HOLY FATHER, SAVIOR, and GOD of all creation. If you like to exercise, receive Jesus as your LORD and Savior, then exercise godliness, and live a holy life forever.
