Titus 3:8

“This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works.” Do I believe that we have been saved by grace? Absolutely. Do I believe that we live by grace? Yes, absolutely. Then why do I write about doing good works? The way we live and the things we do are more powerful witnesses than our words to those who watch us. In fact, they will be more willing to listen to us when we speak after they have seen us live a Biblical Godly life before them. That’s why this is a faithful saying because it has been proven to work. That is the reason I write so much about it in these devotions. We need to be careful to maintain those good works. The good works we do are not for salvation, but because of salvation. That’s why it’s so important to be careful to maintain those good works, people are watching. Unsaved family members, neighbors, peers, coworkers, and other Christians. Our maintaining good works is a witness to others who God is in our lives as we live before them through the good times, as well as the trials and tribulations we go through. It’s to magnify God’s love for us, and our love for Him through our loving them.
