2 Corinthians 5:17

       Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. And so closes another year, leaving behind the old things, but be of good cheer, the New Year brings with it a New Beginning. IF you are in Christ, the past is gone, forgiven “And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross” (Colossians 2:13-14). We live by Grace not to sin, not so we can sin. Jesus, “Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it” (Colossians 2:15). Do you see it, Jesus disarmed the principalities and powers that once held you in your sin, you are free. You are a New Creation, in a New Year with a clean slate, having been washed in the blood. You have been born of God and “Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God” (1 John 3”9). You are born of God and now have new desires, Godly desires and the Power of the Holy Spirit in you to accomplish them and move away from your old life of sin.
