Psalm 119:59-60

“I thought about my ways, And turned my feet to Your testimonies. I made haste, and did not delay To keep Your commandments.” In Psalm 66:18 we are told, “If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear.” Do you understand what it means to regard iniquity in your heart? Regarding iniquity in your heart is living with known sin, and enjoying it so much that you will push God out of your way to do it, and you don’t repent. Do you think about your ways with the understanding of what you do and go to the Word of God to see what He says about your sin and how to turn away from it? The Word of God brings conviction, and then correction. When you find the answer, make haste and do not delay to be a doer of the Word. We are further told that “He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy” (Proverbs 28:13) (Emphasis mine). If you really are serious about being forgiven and getting closer to God, pray as the Psalmist did, “I acknowledged my sin to You, And my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” And You forgave the iniquity of my sin” (Psalm 32:5). Make haste and do it today, you may not have a tomorrow.
