John 7:38

       “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” 3 things here will help you discover how you believe in Jesus, and all 3 will be in your speech and in your actions. If you only have knowledge of Him, your speech will show up in the filthy language that comes out of your mouth, and your actions will still be self-centered. You see the use of Scripture connected with your belief in Jesus, as He uses them for guiding you in fighting the enemies lies (Matthew 4:4,7,10). But Scripture will only help if you are in the Word, know the Word, and know how to use the Word. The more you know Jesus in your heart, the more Jesus will come out in your speech and actions. The last part, is what flows out of your heart. Our verse says it should be “rivers of living water”, not drops here and there. 2 uses for water are drinking and cleansing. In Scripture, water can refer to the Holy Spirit, which you can drink in to quench your thirsty soul as you pursue God, and for cleansing you through washing in the water of the Word.
