Exodus 3:4
“So when the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!” Moses went from being the upper class in Egypt as the grandson of Pharoah to being the lowly shepherd in a foreign Country and became comfortable. In Exodus 3:1 we see that Moses “led the flock to the back of the desert and came to the mountain of God”. God uses circumstances we don’t understand to bring us to a point where we will seek Him, like greener pastures on the backside of the desert. We aren’t told how long Moses was there or how long he stared at the burning bush before he decided to go and investigate to see why it didn’t burn. The important thing to see here is that Moses had a burning desire to actually get up and go see this sight. You may not see a burning bush, but you can feel the burning in your heart to seek God more than you have or more than you do. That burning may be for a desire to spend more time in the Word or prayer, and when the Lord sees that you turn aside to look, you may just hear Him call you!
