John 15:4
“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.” I had just finished cleaning our bathroom and noticed how shiny our 2 sinks were, but the problem is, one of them doesn’t work, and I thought about this verse. There are people who come into church carrying their Bible and look good on the outside, but you can’t tell those that spend time in the word daily from those that don’t. There are things that the Word does to a person who is responding to what they read, it brings transformation, that causes us to bear fruit, it also brings illumination that shines in dark places around us at work, shopping and just being where God puts us which is the conformation that we are abiding in Christ the True Vine (John 15:1).
