1 Peter 1:13
“Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ”. You can rest assured of your salvation by nothing more than grace. Nothing you do, other than saying and believing in the sinner’s prayer for salvation, will merit any value to God’s love for you. Peter tells us literally to take action by having an unwavering trust in our mind and spirit, fully relying on that grace that was given to us, which will be revealed in Christ at His return. Peter goes on to tell us that, our proof of this unwavering trust is in our obedience and not to turn back to the way we once lived, but by being transformed inwardly and outwardly as holy children of our Holy Father, the Lord God Almighty. Do you, without question, understand that you have been redeemed with the precious Blood of Jesus? (1 Peter 1:14-19) (my paraphrase). He always loved you, searched for you, and by His grace alone, saved you. Our Holy God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He does not waver, nor should His Children!
